Ode to a Good Man

One looks back on their life throughout time and attempts to decipher which people, places, or events affected his life the most.

My dad brought me up to be a good man. Even in the worst of times, he praised for me to be strong and fight.

I had asthma when I was very young. I had to sit on a ventilator early in the mornings while the other kids slept. My dad would wake up in the morning and sit with me as I watched cartoons before work. It was the first time in my life, that I knew I was never going to be alone.

I was raised to be a good man and my father was my role model. He helped me learn, grow, and succeed in life. I would not be the man I am today if it weren't for my father, Mike Meagher.
